Our founder and CEO, Dr. Bansal, is a respected Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with wide-ranging experience in treating mental health disorders across diverse age groups. His background involves treating patients from various socioeconomic sectors, including urban areas of Detroit and St. Louis, suburban regions of Ann Arbor and Metro East St. Louis, and rural parts of Iowa. Dr. Bansal has served in renowned hospitals and educational institutions such as CS Mott Children’s Hospital at University of Michigan, Detroit Medical Center, and Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. His experience spans across all clinical settings including inpatient, outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential care. While he is board certified in both Adult & Pediatric Psychiatry, his passion lies in the mental health of children and adolescents, with significant research experience in ADHD, Autism, and other developmental disorders.

In September 2020, Dr. Bansal established his outpatient practice (BanCAPs) with the mission of making mental health care more accessible and convenient for young people. This has now evolved into the broader project of MindWeal, aimed at not just improving access but also elevating the quality of care and empowering patients and their families to be active participants in their mental well-being.
