ADVANCED TESTING

Measurement based standardized testing elevating precision in mental health care

An array of tests that compliment our clinical services, improving diagnostic precision and facilitating the creation of more effective treatment plans.

ADHD testing

An objective way to assess inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity providing quantitative data that adds to the accuracy of the evaluation.

Did you know?

Teachers and providers may misinterpret a child’s low central processing speed as poor attention and poor organization. Performance-based objective testing for ADHD can help differentiate between the two.

Key features

  • A performance-based test that measures the levels of inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity in children.
  • Provides a percentile score for ADHD symptoms compared to same-age and same-gender peers.

How it works

  • Upon clinical evaluation, if deemed necessary and with your approval, a referral for testing will be generated by your provider.
  • Our staff will call you to schedule a 30 minute computerised in-person testing.
  • Testing is completed in which your child performs simple, repetitive tasks under observation of our medical assistant who thoroughly records your child’s motivation, attitude, and observed behaviors during the test.
  • Dr. Bansal analyses data from testing, your child’s clinical symptoms as reported by your provider, behaviour during testing as observed by medical assistant, and school reports from teachers to determine the validity of an ADHD clinical diagnosis.
  • Dr. Bansal completes a final report with actionable recommendations, which your provider will discuss with you during your child’s next clinical visit.

Outcomes

  • Provides diagnostic clarity especially when diagnosing ADHD which can be challenging due to contradictory history and possibility of comorbid disorders with overlapping symptoms.
  • Personalised treatment plans tailored to your child’s specific needs.
  • Aids in securing appropriate accommodations and support in educational settings.
  • Helps parents and teachers understand the child’s challenges by identifying strengths and areas of difficulty.

Executive function testing

An objective way to assess executive functions providing valuable insights into an individual’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses
