How is this new patient evaluation different from a quick screening at our pediatrician’s office?

Pediatric screenings are brief tools meant to flag possible concerns. They’re an important first step, but they’re not designed to provide diagnostic clarity. Our new patient evaluation is a full psychiatric assessment that looks at symptoms, development, medical history, family and school context, and daily functioning in a structured way. This depth allows us to distinguish between conditions that can look very similar on the surface and to guide treatment decisions with confidence.
