How is this different from ADHD testing?

ADHD testing focuses specifically on attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity.
Executive functioning evaluation looks more broadly at how your child manages tasks—including planning, organization, and follow-through. Some children have ADHD without significant executive functioning challenges. Some have both ADHD and executive functioning difficulties. Others struggle with executive functioning even when attention is not the primary issue. That’s why we begin with a comprehensive clinical evaluation and then determine whether ADHD testing, executive functioning evaluation, or both are needed.
